Senior of the Month Print E-mail

Jessica StoneSchaumburg High School is proud to recognize Jessica Stone as the May Senior of the Month. Jessica is an excellent representation of a Schaumburg Saxon. She embodies a very strong work ethic which allows her to be successful in her classes. She models the expectations of a Saxon outside of the classroom as well by participating in various clubs and organizations. Jessica holds many offices and leadership roles in the organizations that she is participating in. All of these demands and sharing of her time and talents is done with a very positive attitude and friendly personality.

In the classroom, Jessica has received numerous acclamations including being an AP scholar and a member of the Spanish Honor Society. How does she achieve all this success? Jessica enjoys being involved in many things. Even though she earns high grades that is not her main motivation for success. She tries to challenge herself every day. Her positive attitude about learning is also very valuable when the class gets tough.

Outside of the classroom, Jessica participates on the Badminton team. She is also a member of Students Helping Others, National Honor Society, BPA, Student Council and Math Team. Friends and activity sponsors are always happy when Jessica joins their club. She brings a friendly outlook and "can do" attitude to any meeting that she attends. Jessica has brought many awards to the clubs that she participates in including 2nd place at the BPA leadership conference and 1st place at the Harper College Accounting Contest. In the community, Jessica volunteers at Friendship village and will be attending New York University in the fall.

We are proud to have Jessica Stone as our senior of the month for May. She is a great example of what "We Are SHS" is all about.
