SADD's mission:
To provide students with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving and other destructive decisions.

Here, at Schaumburg High School, the members of SADD participate in Red Ribbon Week every year. During this activity we promote a drug-free environment. By placing red ribbons around our school, we shared awareness of drugs and alcohol and how they affect our community. In May of 2003, we organized the Grim Reaper Project, which is conducted once every four years. In the Grim Reaper Project, the members of SADD directly showed the students of SHS the effects of drunk driving by taking to vow of silence, decorating in "deadly" make-up and shirts, and creating a tombstone graveyard to represent those who been affected by drinking and driving. This year we plan on going to Jr. High Schools and Elementary Schools to discuss destructive decisions, their impact, and the ability to make safe choices and deal with the pressures of life. We plan on spreading SADD's message to the younger students: That knowledge is power, and this knowledge can save your life.
