These are all rights we take for granted, and yet censorship stands as a fundamental threat to free speech. However, despite the 1st Amendment, attacks on free speech are not uncommon in our nation. The students of this nation can do thier part to speak out against censorship and attacks on free speech. More speech, not repression is the solution to offensive and controversial issues.
Freedom of Expression Freedom of speech, of the press, of association, of assembly and petition -- this set of guarantees, protected by the First Amendment, comprises what we refer to as freedom of expression.
