English Department Late Paper Policy

Homework:    No homework assignments will be accepted late for credit.

Writing Assignments (themes, paragraphs, reports, etc.):  Teachers will inform the students of the last possible day an assignment is due for full credit.  After that date, the teacher may choose to accept the paper for partial credit.

Research Papers:  Research papers on all levels (302’s, 336’s, 308’s, 403’s, 405’s, 419’s) will be due on or before the final date set for acceptance of the paper for full credit.  In the composition courses (403/405), completion of the research paper is a minimum requirement for passing the course.  Student absences will not automatically extend the due date.  A teacher-student conference before the due date is required to consider any extenuating circumstances.
