Chicago:
That Theatrical Town

Scenario:

Joe has a friend who is coming in from Georgia.  She is an aspiring actress and he wants to take her to as much theatre as possible.

Joe has been living in Chicago for the past year, but he has yet to venture out into the theatre community; he has no idea where to take his friend or even what to take her to see.  He does not know what his options are or how expensive it is going to be.  Are there good dinner options for afterwards? Where does the theatre crowd go?

Assignment:

Your assignment (with a partner) is to make a pamphlet, for people like Joe,

about theatre in and around Chicago.

You may want to use a Microsoft Publisher template

Ask yourself questions like the following:

Where are the big places?

Where are the great little places?

What are the new shows out there?

What are the classics?

Are there places to avoid?

What can people expect to pay?  Does budget matter?

What shows are playing right now?

What would a night out to the theatre look like?

Where can tickets be bought?

Requirements:

creative & visually appealing
