It is your responsibility to bring to
class your textbook, workbook, and
all other needed school supplies.
Take good care of your book, desk, and all
classroom materials. Be sure to cover your textbook.
Be in your seat when the bell rings.
During tests and quizzes, everything must
be put underneath your seat. All eyes are to be kept
on your own paper. Failure to comply with this
policy will mean a loss of
credit on the test or quiz.
II. Homework
There will be homework almost every night.
It will consist of oral preparation,
written exercises, learning
vocabulary, or reading preparation. Failure to complete the assignment
by the designated due
date will result in loss of
homework credit.
III. Absence
Make-up work following an absence is
always the student's responsibility. If you are absent,
you must see your teacher to obtain the appropriate
make-up work. See your teacher for handouts and
special project information.
The student has two days to
complete make-up work. All quizzes and tests will be made up in test
make-up.
For a field trip and pre-arranged
absences, you must arrange to get assignments beforeyou
leave. All work is due the day you return. Failure to do so
can mean loss of credit.
Any absences totaling 10 in a semester can
result in removal from course.
IV. Classroom Policy
Your quarter grade is divided into three
equal parts: 1/3 Quizzes, 1/3 Tests, and 1/3 Oral/Written work.
Extra credit is never given to inflated is
never given to inflate a student's grade.
Anytime you may need some extra help, you
should see the teacher to arrange a time.
The grading scale for the Foreign Language
Department is as follows:
A+ 100 - 99
B+ 89 - 88 C+
81 - 80 D+ 71 - 70 A 98 - 92
