| A Message To Students | |
| Mr. Chris Evert | |
This is a question I'm sure you've been asked many times. Have you ever asked yourself this question? How would you answer it?
Being a student is your first responsibility and a full-time job. As with any job, your success is mainly dependent upon your efforts. If you want to do well, you must be willing to:
Relating these ideas to school translates them into being an active student in class, doing your class work and homework to the best of your ability, looking over your class materials even though it was not assigned, and studying for quizzes and tests.
As your teacher, I will do my best to assist you throughout the school year. I am confident that your parents will support you as well. In the end, though, it comes down to you. Is school important to you? Are you willing to do your very best on everything you do in school? Will you put in the time and effort to be successful? Do you see success in school as a step toward achieving your own personal goals?
If the answers to these questions are "Yes" then victory is within your grasp. You are well on your way toward adulthood and new responsibilities.
If you did not answer "Yes" it may be time for to reevaluate your priorities. Perhaps after thinking about your own goals you will feel the need to make some adjustments in your life. It is never too late for you to recover from past mistakes. Have confidence in yourself and move forward. Make this school year one to be proud of.
Why are you in school?
