Chess is a game that promotes critical thinking and problem solving skills.  It allows individuals to challenge one another in an environment of fair play and sportsmanship.  Chess teaches patience, fosters self-confidence, builds strong organization and communication skills, and is fun to play.

Beginners learn basic moves and winning strategies.  The more advanced players compete on the Chess Team against other area schools and at the Chess State Tournament
