The Schaumburg High School athletic department utilizes the Thor Guard Lightning Prediction System to aid in lightning detection and as a pre-strike warning device. The Thor Guard is used to determine if the lightning is too close for safe continuation of practice or games. In the event that the Thor Guard system is activated, all individuals will be directed to a safe location until an all clear has sounded.
