Schaumburg High School has 3 certified athletic trainers that provide coverage of all athletic practices and events at Schaumburg High School. This includes emergency care, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of all athletic injuries. The athletic trainers provide progressive rehabilitation that emphasizes athlete education and future injury prevention.
The athletic trainers work closely with team physicians and/or the athlete’s treating physician to create a program that assists athletes in returning to an optimal level of performance.
The team physician group for Schaumburg High School is Barrington Orthopedic Specialists. These doctors provide football game coverage for both home and away games. They also provide assistance to the athletic trainers throughout the year.
