Chapter 4

"The other side of the wall" is going to be a regular update available to you as the construction of our three story addition unfolds.  It is an attempt to give everyone in the Schaumburg Community a "birds-eye view" of the work as it progresses.  It will include description, as well as pictures.  You can click on each picture to enlarge it as well.

Rising from the Grave!

Amazing how the new building has taken shape! 
After weeks of preparation in the "hole", the above ground work seemed to appear overnight!

The front entrance,
from start to "partly done"!

Work Recently Completed:
bullet

Concrete foundation water proofed and back filled.

bullet

Plumber completed work in the foundation area on the under slab to rough in the piping.

Ground floor slab

bullet

Forming and pouring of curbs on west end (between entrances 1 and 10)

Storm Sewer work

bullet

Colors for outside brick have been chosen

bullet

Metal deck for 1st and 2nd floor

bullet

Canopy piers for Entrances 1 and 2

Work to begin in the near future or just started:
bullet Masons arrive on the scene.
bullet Elevator Tower
bullet "Puddle welds" to fasten the deck to steel beams.
bullet Bus lane site work.
bullet Steel roof erected.
bullet 1st and 2nd floor concrete deck
bullet Sidewalks poured.
bullet Curbs on east end.
bullet Canopy piers and Entrance 10.
