Description: A series of plane waves are produced by the generator and travel across the ripple tank.  The pictures are again taken at 30 frames/second and the meter stick is provided for measurements.

Questions:

1. Describe the relationship between the shape of the waves and the direction they propagate in.

2. How is this similar/different to circular waves?

3. Estimate (but justify from the video!) the wavelength of these waves.

4. Determine the velocity of these waves.

5. Based on your answers to 3 and 4 what is the expected frequency of these waves?
