Description: In this video, a single plane wave strikes a plastic barrier that has been placed in the water.  You can see it's shadow as a dark vertical line in the center of the screen. In this video the frame rate has been condensed to 15 frames per second.
 

Questions:

1.  Describe the changes in the direction of motion of the wave before and after it strikes the barrier.

2.  Does the velocity of the wave change after striking the barrier?  Cite evidence from the video to support your answer.

3.  Does the amplitude of the wave increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after striking the barrier?  How can you tell?
