1. Grading:
Grading is based on points earned. Each assignment, quiz or test that is graded will be given a point value. Your grade is determined by the number of points that you receive divided by the total number of points. The grading scale is as follows:
100-90% A
89-80% B
79-70% C
69-63% D
<62.5% F
This scale applies to individual assignments, as well as, to your overall grade. You can
keep track of your total points on an assignment sheet that will be given to you. It’s important to know where you stand.
2. Attendance:
If you are absent:
a. Get your work picked up for you, if possible. Your parents can call the
attendance office to make arrangement for pick up.
b. You have a maximum of 2 days to make up work for absences which includes lab work, quizzes or tests. Additional days may be allowed for extended absences-check with your teacher for this.
c. If you are absent on the day of a quiz or a test and were in class up to that point you are expected to make up the quiz or test the day you get back.
3. Tardy:
If you are not in your assigned seat when the bell rings, you are tardy.
