Tues-Thurs Various Times
30 Hour Commitment
Help set and clean up for the regular shift, build positive relationships with teens and staff, aid staff with the supervision of the center, check teen members IDs as they enter the teen center.  Willing to accept up to fifteen students. 

Times vary Monday - Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.                                                                             Childcare needed during parent education presentations.  During the parent/child together activities, we may need help organizing materials, helping parents and kids complete the activity (e.g. games, crafts, snacks).  Additionally, supervision of students during small group activities (i.e. story time, gym time, etc.) may be needed. 

Childcare during parent sign language presentations. 

Mon - Fri; 2:30 - 6 pm
TB test and physical examination required within the last 6 months
Assist teachers, sing songs & play games, interact with children and teachers,  assist with lesson plans, reading stories, supervising students during small group activity (i.e. story time, art activity etc.)  Willing to accept five students. 

Mon-Sun: 8 am - 8 pm  May pair up with your friends. 
Mon-Fri - Assist with activities such as bowling, miniature golf, basketball, and bingo,  visiting and talking to residents, serve coffee and bus tables while brightening up a resident’s meal with a smile assist with the dog,  cat, and parrot living in our home. Additional activities outside of Brighton Gardens are assistance for a car wash fundraiser and church outings to Willow Creek and Catholic churches. 

Sat-Sun - Assist with games and activities including armchair exercises, afternoon walks, board games and manicures. Assist in the dining room. On Sundays, volunteers may help residents to and from Communion and then lead exercise for residents. Residents also adore having someone to visit with them on the weekends!

Mon - Thurs 4-6 pm, Fri 4-5 pm  
Answering phones and transferring calls
Occasional bulk mailings or other simple clerical tasks.  Willing to accept up to five students. 

Monday evenings and various other times
Office work and working with children in youth programs. Willing to accept 4 students  

Mon-Fri 3 - 6:30 pm 
Working with/tutoring children ages three to seven.  Willing to accept up to two students. 

Wed 4:15 - 6:45 pm
Help with recreational, craft and music activities for boys and girls ages 3-12.  Also can assist with meal preparation or baby and toddler care.  Spanish is helpful but not required. 

Thurs 6:30 - 8:30 pm,  
Tutor adults learning English
Childcare for children of adults learning English. Teacher Aide.
Also work with small groups learning pronunciation, etc., and paperwork for the program. Help to set up classrooms and put away materials at the end of the session.  Other paperwork tasks can be done at planned times not listed.

Thurs 3:30 - 5:30 pm (2 hour shifts)
Assist with signing in families, stocking shelves, sorting donations, and other duties as
needed. Accepting one student per shift. 

Weekdays & Weekends, Weekdays - after 4 pm
Clearbrook Bingo - Every Wed night 4:30 -7 pm at the new facility at 746 S. Vermont in Palatine (the northwest corner of Vermont & Illinois). Volunteers needed to help with kitchen services at charity bingo.
 
Practically Perfect Resale Shop - Mon-Thurs, 10 am-5 pm, Fri 10 am - 7 pm, Sat 9 am - 5 pm and Sun 11 am - 4 pm at 1815 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights (Clearbrook Plaza/southwest corner of Central & New Wilke Roads). Volunteers needed to sort, prepare and display donated merchandise; assist customers and help with other tasks.
 
Adult Bowling Programs - Volunteers needed as Lane Buddies at Bowling League for adults with disabilities two Saturdays a month, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at AMF Bowl, 3245 Kirchoff in downtown Rolling Meadows.
 
Parents Night Out - 2nd Fri of the month.  6 - 9 pm at Clearbrook Children’s Services at 3705 Pheasant Drive in Rolling Meadows. Join staff in activities with children with special needs their siblings to give parents a break from care giving.

Child and Family Connections Programs - 1st Friday of the month, 6-9 pm.  Volunteer provide care-giving and engage in activities with children with special needs and their siblings, while parents attend a program group. 

Mon - Fri 7 am - 6 pm  
Interact with infants, toddlers, and preschool children, Read stories, assist teachers, clean toys.  Willing to accept up to five students.  A screening is required that includes a drug test, background test with fingerprints and a health physical with a TB test. 

Mon and Wed 5:30 - 7:10 pm or 7:30 - 9:10 pm, Fri 6 - 9 pm and Sat. 7:00-10:00 a.m.
Community Resource Center: Child Care – birth to 7 years - Most children 2-5 years
Knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required
Organize and maintain toy/book lending library and assist as needed.  Willing to accept up to three  students each shift.. 

Tues and Thurs 3 - 4 pm Students need to be available both days. 
Tutor students in basic academic areas
Act as educational support/foster positive relationship.  Willing to accept up to fifteen students and ten are needed for the program to exist. 

All Weekdays 1- 4:30 pm
Work outside such as tree clearing, wood chipping, pruning, planting, and building boardwalks.

Mon, Tues, Thurs and weekends 6 to 8 pm 
Helping to coach children with special needs in a variety of sports
Fall sports: volleyball, floor hockey, basketball, and snowshoeing
Spring sports: soccer, gymnastics, track and field.  Willing to accept up to twenty students. 

Fri or Mon 8:35 am-3 pm
Assisting students: complete written assignments, give spelling tests, computer word processing, reading stories, taking student dictation, interacting in Art or P.E. class.  Willing to accept up to two students.
